REO Speedwagon formed in 1967 as a hard rock band, but the more pop-oriented sound of 1980's Hi Fidelity spawned four Top 40 hits and brought them mainstream success. They played at 1985's Live Aid concert and released another hit album with Life As We Know It in 1987.
