At first a beat music and rhythm and blues band, the early Moody Blues released their biggest hit in 1964 with the pop single "Go Now." After the release of their symphonic pop album Days of Future Past, they subsequently shifted towards a psychedelic-flavored progressive rock direction, as in their tribute to Timothy Leary in 1968's "Legend of a Mind." Over the span of their career they've sold over 70 million records and been awarded 14 platinum and gold albums.
