Mad Magazine

MAD began as a comic book in 1952 but moved to it's iconic magazine format in 1955 to escape the Comics Code Authority. Alfred E. Neuman's first full cover appearance came in issue 30 at the end of 1956, forever cementing the "What - Me Worry?" kid into the American psyche.
