Formed in San Francisco around former members of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch, Journey began as a jazz fusion band and morphed through a variety of genres including hard rock, progressive rock, and soft rock. In 1977 the band regrouped under frontman Steve Perry and finally broke onto the charts with their hit album "Infinity" which went platinum and yielded the hits "Lights" and "Wheel In the Sky." The group has had nineteen Top 40 singles and achieved worldwide sales of over 80 million albums.
