Formed in the U.K. in 1967, Jethro Tull brought a new sound to rock music, exemplified by Ian Anderson's jazzy flute playing and vocals. Best-known for being a progressive band, they successfully intertwined acoustic music with hard rock in two well-received concept albums, "Thick as a Brick" and "A Passion Play". Surviving numerous personnel changes, Jethro Tull continues to record and perform after forty-plus years in the business.
