After departing The Yardbirds, Jeff Beck established himself as a capable bandleader as well as guitarist, forming The Jeff Beck Group which featured Rod Stewart as vocalist. He is considered among the greatest guitarists of all time, ranking #14 on Rolling Stone magazine's Top 100. His music has crossed many genres, from blues rock to hard rock and jazz fusion to prog.
