The 1930 Gibson catalog described the All American model as “the Greatest Banjo of all Time”; the most expensive banjo they had ever offered. Gibson released the banjo at the dawn of the Great Depression and the ultra-high-end model was a commercial flop. Only twenty-four tenor-necked examples and one five-string were produced. In 1969 Gibson reissued the All American Mastertone. This poster was used for its in store promotion.
