Bryan Adams is a Canadian rock singer-songwriter and guitarist who released his first record in 1980. In 1983 he released the breakout album Cuts Like a Knife, which yielded hits in the title track and "Straight From the Heart." He is a photographer and humanitarian in addition to his musical career. Adams has been nominated for fifteen Grammy Awards and three Oscars, having contributed to several soundtracks.
