Arriving in San Francisco in 1967, Boz Scaggs became an original member of The Steve Miller Band, playing on their first two records before leaving for a successful solo career. He progressed from a country and blues rock sound to more popular soulful rock arrangements on his following albums. He recently toured with ex-Steely Dan members Donald Fagen and Michael McDonald.
