The Canadian-born Morissette released her 1995 hit album Jagged Little Pill to rave reviews, and hasn't looked back since, recording and touring regularly and branching out into acting and producing. With a ballsy yet feminine rock sound, Alanis remains an important figure in music and popular culture. She has also starred in the Kevin Smith film Dogma and the hit TV series Weeds.
