Average White Band aka AWB was formed in Scotland in 1972 and pumped out a blend of disco, funk, and blue-eyed soul music. Their horn section added a colorful punch to their sound, and they used it to great advantage, becoming a huge hit-maker throughout the '70s with songs like "Cut The Cake" and "Pick Up The Pieces".
