Jay Farrar Posters

The founder of two pioneering alternative country groups, Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt, Farrar began his solo career in 2001. The singer-songwriter composed music that stretched from folk country to full-out rock and roll along the lines of Neil Young. His work also shows influences from the psychedelic to more experimental soundscapes. His trademark sound displays his strong vocals against alternate tunings, and he was chosen to contribute to Moby Grape drummer Skip Spence's tribute album, More Oar in 1999.
